In 2007,  Redon Technology embarked on a mission to establish value-creating solutions in the dental technology sector. The Istanbul company quickly became an industry leader by prioritizing precision, product quality, and service of its 5-axis CNC machines.
Redon’s strategy first focused on understanding the dental industry’s needs. The company used various research methodologies to pinpoint requirements. This initial phase enabled Redon to develop high-performance milling machine products that were specifically suited to the wants and needs of the dental industry.
One of Redon’s most impactful investments since deploying SOLIDWORKS® has been adopting cloud-based design and project management solutions. “Communication, [simulation] analysis, data management, supplier relationships, and collaboration with dealers have all been greatly improved by 3DEXPERIENCE®,” notes Atakan Akçay, founder and CEO.

The 5-axis milling machines Redon makes specifically for the dental industry are distributed to about 20 countries, including key markets like the United Kingdom, France, and the United States. “We conduct thorough static and dynamic analyses and assess inter-part relationships using SOLIDWORKS, and our project management activities are facilitated by the 3DEXPERIENCE platform,” explains Tolga Şimşek, R&D Manager.

“The 3DEXPERIENCE platform has transformed how we design and collaborate,” emphasizes Şimşek. The transition to a cloud-based design platform allows Şimşek’s team to access designs from any computer anywhere in the world. This cloud setup enhances team coordination and enables multiple employees to work simultaneously, speeding up Redon’s design processes. The centralized approach helps prevent issues with revisions and ensures all team members have the most current data. “It coordinates our growing team and allows active participation of everyone in the design process, enhancing our productivity and speed,” states Şimşek. “Even the smallest details can be accessed by all stakeholders on a single platform.”
Arda Aydoğan, an additive manufacturing engineer at Redon, adds, “We have brought multidisciplinary work to the cloud environment; this transition enables us to solve electronic, cabling, and mechanical design [issues] more easily and quickly.”

Under the leadership of Akçay, Redon has not only captured a significant share of the Turkish market but has also made substantial inroads internationally. The company continues to push the boundaries of dental technology by focusing on enhancing user experience and product quality.
